Specially designed tactile materials as well as state of the art textbooks are provided at Acorn Montessori. Custom made computers provide on line, secure internet for educational development. We strive to generate interest, concentration, motivation and self discipline. Saxon and McGraw Hill provide quarterly assessments. Acorn Montessori is also involved in the Arizona Instruments to Measure Student Success (AIMS) which is mandated by the Arizona Department of Education. Aside from receiving quarterly report cards we host parent conferences every semester. However, parents can request conferences with teachers at any time and parent involvement is encouraged. Mingus Mountain Academy
A JCAHO accredited facility, Mingus Mountain Academy offers treatment and education for at risk girls. Since 1985 the academy has been located on 120 acres at the bottom of Mingus Mountain in Prescott Valley Arizona. There are numerous dormitories, a North Central Association Accredited educational center, a medical complex, administration center, and a spiritual center. Mingus Mountain Academy provides various treatment and educational services, which includes a special Equestrian program.
